New terminal building under Pune Airport to be inaugurated soon

The new terminal building under the Pune (Lohegaon) airport expansion project is likely to be inaugurated soon. Construction work on the same has been completed. Besides, the existing terminal building will be shut down for reconstruction work once the new terminal building is operational. The project includes the expansion of the existing civil enclave at the Pune airport in Lohegaon, Maharashtra with an investment of Rs 4.75 billion. The scope of the project includes construction of a new integrated terminal building of 35,000 sq m with a capacity of 12 million passengers per annum (mppa), reconstruction of the old terminal building of area 7,000 sq m, modification of the existing expanded terminal building, associated city side facilities, expansion of the apron and link taxiway track, multi-level car park and a new integrated cargo terminal.
