APSEZ to sell 49 per cent stake in its Ennore Container Terminal to MSC

As per reports, the Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) will sell 49 per cent stake in its Ennore Container Terminal to Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) for Rs 2.47 billion. With regard to this, APSEZ has entered into a share purchase agreement on December 14, 2023, with Mundi Limited, an indirect subsidiary of Terminal Investment Limited and associate of MSC. The Ennore Container Terminal has a quay length of 400 metres and an annual handling capacity of 0.8 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs). It handled 0.55 million TEUs in FY 2023 and 0.45 million TEUs in April-November period of FY 2024.
