SGEL signs PPA with SECI for 200 MW wind project

SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL) has signed a PPA with Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) for 200 MW grid-connected wind power project. SGEL had won the engineering, procurement, and construction contract from SECI under TBCB process at a tariff of Rs 3.24 per kWh. The project will be set up on the basis of build, own, and operate model across anywhere in India. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 14 billion. Furthermore, the project is anticipated to produce 482 MUs in its first-year post-commissioning, with an estimated cumulative energy generation of 12,050 MUs over the 25-year period. The project is expected to be commissioned by November 2025.
