Assam government starts partial commissioning of Nagaon 24×7 water supply project

The government of Assam started the partial commissioning of the Nagaon 24×7 water supply project under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation scheme on November 20, 2023. The project aims to provide access to clean drinking water to 8,745 families in Haibargaon, Fauzdaripatty and Amolapatty. In the next phase, the project would target to provide water to additional 9,697 families in Haibargaon, Morikolong and Harijan colony. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 2.38 billion and is expected to benefit 18,442 families across 26 wards in Nagaon.
