MMRCL completes DPR for expansion of Mumbai Metro Line 3

Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) has completed the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for 5 km expansion of the Mumbai Metro Phase I Line 3 Project (Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ) upto Navy Nagar.
The DPR is yet to be approved by the Government of Maharashtra (GoM). Besides, construction work on the extended stretch is likely to commence by 2025.
Line 3 of Mumbai metro involves the development of an underground metro rail system in Mumbai connecting Colaba to SEEPZ via Bandra covering a distance of 33.5 km with an investment of Rs 372.76 billion. The project, which is being implemented by Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) on engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis, consists of a total of 26 stations.
