The centre has sanctioned funds worth Rs 1 billion for the development of the Tura Bulk Water Supply Scheme in Meghalaya. The project has been approved under the North East Special Infrastructure Development Scheme. Tenders are expected to be floated soon to start construction work on the project immediately.
