Terminal 1 of the Kempegowda International Airport has undergone a major transformation. The former international area has been repurposed, creating an expansive and dedicated space for domestic operations. Three additional conveyor belts have been installed at the terminal. Nine new contact stands have also been installed to supplement the eight that currently exist at the airport. Further, a new pre-embarkation security check area with an automated tray retrieval system has been activated. Other measures include better access to buggies at the security holding area for persons with reduced mobility and elderly passengers.
