Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel gain 3.2 million and 1.21 million users respectively during August 2023, says TRAI data

As per the latest data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel gained 3.2 million and 1.21 million mo­­bile users respectively in August 2023, largely at the expense of Voda­fone Idea Limited (Vi), which continued to suffer big subscriber losses. Vi lost 0.04 million mobile users during the period, and its user base shrunk to 228.28 million. By contrast, Jio and Airtel’s user bases expanded to 445.73 million and 376.46 million, respectively.
