GoK issues notification for land acquisition for five proposed metro stations under Kochi Metro Phase II

The Government of Kerala has issued a notification for the acquisition of land for five proposed metro stations (Palarivattom Junction, Kakkanad, Cochin special economic zone, Chitethukara and Kinfra) under Kochi Metro Phase II. About 0.95 hectare of land is likely to be acquired for the construction of these stations. A similar notification for the Palarivattom Bypass and Vazhakkala stations is likely to be issued soon. The project involves the development of an 11.17 km long metro rail network from Jawaharlal Nehru stadium to Infopark via Kakkanad at an investment of Rs 19.57 billion.
