NHPC has declared winners of its auction to set up 3 GW of interstate transmission system-connected solar power projects. While the tender was oversubscribed with 15 bidders, the reverse auction finally resulted in allocation of projects to 8 bidders. The winning bids were in the range of Rs 2.52-2.53 per kWh. The lowest bid of Rs 2.52 per kWh was quoted by Solairedirect Energy (ENGIE) that went on to win 250 MW. All the other seven winning bids were at Rs 2.53 per kWh. Avaada Energy secured the largest capacity of 1 GW followed by Jakson Limited with 400 MW. Other winners included Green Infra Wind Energy (300 MW), Mahindra arm Hazel Hybren (300 MW), Apraava Energy (250 MW), Hinduja Renewable Energy (250 MW) and Sprng Energy (250 MW).
