GoK issues notification for land acquisition for five proposed metro stations under Kochi Metro Phase II

The Government of Kerala (GoK) has issued notification for the land acquisition for five proposed metro stations (Palarivattom Junction, Kakkanad, Cochin special economic zone, Chitethukara and Kinfra) under Kochi Metro Phase II. Notification for land acquisition for Palarivattom Bypass and Vazhakkala stations is likely to be issued soon. About 0.95 hectare land is likely to be acquired for the construction of these stations. The project involves the development of an 11.17 km long metro rail network from Jawaharlal Nehru stadium to Infopark via Kakkanad as an extension of Phase I in Kerala with an investment of Rs 19.57 billion.
