Award Citation
Indian Infrastructure is very pleased to present its first-ever award for outstanding contribution to infrastructure development in India to Shri Nitin Jairam Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways.
This award is in recognition of not only his record-breaking achievements in the road sector over the past few years, but also his stewardship of the port sector earlier and his many pioneering initiatives when serving in the Maharashtra Government several years ago. In our talks with industry people, his name is often mentioned as the most effective cabinet minister dealing with infrastructure sectors. He is admired for his can-do attitude, pragmatism, willingness to listen and insistence on performance. The new Indian roads today are among the best in the world. This is almost entirely due to his inspiring leadership.
There is no one else more deserving of Indian Infrastructure’s first-ever award.
