In a remarkable development, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has launched the country’s first gasoline and diesel fuel used by automobile manufacturers for testing vehicles. These fuels having higher specifications, are crucial for calibrating and testing by automobile manufacturers, testing agencies like International Centre for and the Automotive Research Association of India among others. IOCL has established facilities for producing gasoline reference fuels with available grades of E0, E5, E10, E20 and E85 at its Paradip refinery in Odisha and diesel reference fuel of grade B7 at its Panipat refinery in the state of Haryana.
