SECI floats bids for 1,000 MW solar projects

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a request for proposals (RfPs) for appointment of solar power developers to develop inter-state transmission system (ISTS) connected 1,000 MW solar projects, tranche XII. The project will be situated in India. The SECI will sign a PPA with the developer for a period of 25 years. The SECI will purchase the power and supply it to different organisations in India. Additionally, the project must be commissioned within 24 months of the PPA being signed. The bidders can offer a minimum and a maximum capacity of 50 MW and 500 MW. The bidders will be responsible for land identification, project installing, ownership acquiring, as well as for obtaining necessary approvals and ISTS connectivity.
