APMC approves DPR for Wagholi and Lohegaon WSS in Pune

PMC has approved the detailed project report (DPR) for Wagholi and Lohegaon Water Supply Scheme (WSS) in Pune, Maharashtra. The project involves the construction of 13 new overhead tanks, augmenting 11 existing tanks, laying of a trunk line to fetch water, and setting up a network of 500 km long distribution lines. The 60 mld Bhama Askhed project has been considered the primary source of water. A trunk line will be laid to fetch water to the distribution network and overhead tanks. The water will flow as per gravity. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 2.8 billion.
