Six Twin city airports targeted by 2030

The Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) is planning to develop six Twin City airports by 2030 for the decongestion of airports in major cities and the ex­pansion of the airport infrastructure to meet the increasing demand for air travel. Some of the ongoing developments are the Noida Interna­tional Airport, which will complement the Delhi International Airport, the Navi Mumbai International Airport to complement the Mumbai Interna­tional Airport, and the Manohar International Airport to complement Dabolim airport. By 2030, six twin city airports are planned to be developed, and the number is projected to increase to 15 by 2040 and more than 30 by 2047.
