Air India has commissioned a mega warehouse facility in Delhi for the storage of more than 1 million engineering spares. These spare parts are reportedly integral for the maintenance, checks and repairs of aircraft and ground support equipment. The centralised warehousing facility is located near Terminal 3, at the cargo complex of Delhi airport’s air cargo logistics division. It covers an approximate area of 54,000 square feet. The warehouse facility is expected to enhance the airline’s fleet and operational efficiency, and increase the turnaround of its flights operating out of Delhi.
