The cost for implementation of Dahisar-Bhayander Elevated Road Project has escalated to Rs 40.27 billion. Earlier the project was planned in June 2022 at a cost of Rs 16 billion.
The cost increased to Rs 19.98 billion in October 2022 while inviting tenders. Currently, the MCGM has approved the increased cost from Rs 19.98 billion to Rs 40.27 billion. It will bear 100 per cent of the cost of the project. The construction period for the work is 42 months.
The project involves construction of a 45m wide 4.58 km long elevated road from link road from Dahisar (W) in BMC limits to Mira-Bhayander (W) in MBMC limits under Coastal road last leg in Maharashtra.
