The Kolkata airport has been installed with four electric vehicle (EV) charging points by Tata Power. The charging station sites were selected post detailed planning to ensure that EV users commuting to the airport or nearby vicinity would have convenience and accessibility. The move towards installation in public parking areas would enhance the convenience for EV users. Tata Power has already installed over 50 public and semi-public charging points across the city and reportedly has a 60 per cent market share being the largest EV charging point operator in the country.
