The Union Government inaugurated Dwarka Sector 21-Dwarka Sector 25 Metro Rail Project (Extension of Delhi Airport Express Link) on September 17, 2023. The project involved development of a 1.88 km long metro rail network from Dwarka Sector 21 to Yashobhoomi Dwarka Sector 25 in Delhi near the Exhibition-cum-Convention (ECC) Centre, under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). The corridor is an extension of the existing Airport Express Link of Delhi metro and entailed an investment of Rs 3.1 billion. It consists of only one station and will be entirely underground.
