Construction work for Kochi Metro Rail Project-Phase II is likely to commence by December 2023. Besides, the acquisition of private land for the station entry structure is expected to be completed by November 2023. The project involves the development of an 11.17 km long metro rail network from Jawaharlal Nehru stadium to Infopark via Kakkanad as an extension of Phase I in the state of Kerala with an investment of Rs 19.57 billion. Government of India (GoI) and the Government of Kerala (GoK) are likely to fund Rs 3,387.5 milllion and Rs 5,551.8 million, respectively.
