Reportedly, the Union Cabinet has approved the scheme for the release of grant money to support LPG connections to women under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. A total of 7.5 million LPG connections would be released over a period of three years with a total of financial implication of Rs 16.5 billion under this scheme.
