State Cabinet approves BSCPL Ejipura-Kendriya Sadan Elevated Road Project in Karnataka

The state cabinet has approved the contract to BSCPL for implementation of Ejipura-Kendriya Sadan Elevated Road Project (Bengaluru Elevated Corridor) on September 7, 2023. Besides, the cost of the project has escalated by Rs 1,040 million.Currently, 67 out of the proposed 81 pillars have been completed. About 40 per cent work was done by Simplex Infrastructures Limited, the contract of which was terminated in 2022.
The remaining work is likely to be completed in 15 months at an estimated cost of Rs 1,438 million.
The project involves construction of a 2.5 km long elevated corridor by integrated Ejipura main road-inner ring road junction, Sony World Junction and Kendriya Sadan Junction along 100 feet Inner Ring Road, Koramangala in Bengaluru under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) Scheme. The total approved cost of the project was Rs 2.04 billion which has now escalated to Rs 3.07 billion.
