NTPC achieves total installed capacity of 73,824 MW

NTPC Limited’s total installed capacity has reached 73,824 MW with the completion of trial operation of the first unit of 800 MW super thermal power project at Telangana. Meanwhile, NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) and V.O Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOCPA) have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop a green hydrogen hub at VOCPA, Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu. In addition, NGEL and Nayara Energy have inked a MoU to explore prospects within the green hydrogen and green energy space. The MoU aims to collaborate and produce green hydrogen for Nayara Energy’s captive usage, accelerating decarbonisation efforts and contributing to carbon footprint reduction.
