NCRTC proposes change in alignment for Delhi-Alwar RRTS Phase-I

Recently, National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has proposed change in the alignment for Delhi-Gurgaon-Rewari-Alwar Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) Project -Phase I. As per the proposed plan, the alignment is likely to stretch from Aerocity to Rajiv Chowk via Cyber City along the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway. However, earlier alignment passed via Kapashera, Udyog Vihar, Atul Kataria Chowk, Maharana Pratap Chowk, Signature Tower and Rajiv Chowk. The project will involve development of a 106 km RRTS connecting Delhi-Rewari-SNB corridor in the states of Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan with an investment of Rs 249.75 billion. It will originate from Sarai Kale Khan Terminus station in Delhi and will pass through dense regions of Delhi, Gurgaon, Rewari and SNB and will consist of a total of 16 stations (11 elevated and five underground). It will be developed in three stages with project likely to be completed in five years.
