A modular sewage treatment plant (STP) of 0.4 mld capacity will be set up in Kundrathur by March 2024. The STP would be a part of the Adyar River restoration project by the Metrowater of Chennai. The STP worth Rs 90.9 million will be treating the sewage before its discharge into Adyar.
