Construction work completed for new terminal building of Pune Airport

The construction and internal work of the new terminal building under the Pune (Lohegaon) Airport expansion project has been completed. The project is likely to be inaugurated and ready for commercial operations by October 2023. The project includes the expansion of the existing civil enclave at Pune airport in Lohegaon in Maharashtra entailing an investment of Rs 4.75 billion. The scope of the project includes construction of a new integrated terminal building of 35,000 square metre (sq m), reconstruction of the old terminal building of area 7,000 sq m, modification of existing expanded terminal building, associated city side facilities, expansion of apron and link taxiway track, multi-level car park and a new integrated cargo terminal.
