RailTel Corporation has received a work order worth Rs 279.1 million from Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Limited for the supply, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of internet service provider hardware, software, and licence for Kerala Fibre Optic Network (KFON) project. The order would enable the Government of Kerala to deploy 250,000 million internet connections across the state.
