Highways Infrastructure Trust, an infrastructure investment trust owned by KKR, has successfully acquired four road assets from Macquarie India in a significant deal valued at Rs 30 billion. The acquisition includes Gujarat Road and Infrastructure Company Limited (GRICL) and Swarna Tollway Private Limited (STPL), with each company holding ownership of two toll roads. GRICL’s toll roads are located in Gujarat, featuring a 51.6 km stretch from Ahmedabad to Mehsana on SH-41 and a 31.7 km road from Vadodara to Halol on SH-87. STPL’s assets are situated in Andhra Pradesh, encompassing a 110 km section from Tada to Nellore on NH-16, connecting prominent ports like Chennai and Krishnapatnam.
