DMRC and BEL signs MoU to develop i-CBTC system

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) signed an MoU to develop an indigenous communication-based train control (i-CBTC) system on September 13, 2023. The team has commenced work at DMRC’s i-CBTC lab and is likely to develop and deploy a prototype i-CBTC product on a designated test track within the DMRC network soon. Additionally, DMRC deployed the indigenous–automatic train supervision system on its red line in February 2023.
