Andhra Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (APMRCL) has submitted the final detailed project report (DPR) for the Visakhapatnam Light Metro Rail Project to the Government of Andhra Pradesh (GoAP). The project involves development of 76.9 km long light metro rail network in Visakhapatnam in the state of Andhra Pradesh at an estimated cost of Rs 143.09 billion. The three corridors are: Visakhapatnam Steel Plant to the proposed Bhogapuram International Airport, Gurudwara Junction to Old Post Office, and Thatichetlapalem to Rama Krishna Beach.
