MMRDA seeks Rs 200 billion loan to fund infrastructure projects

Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) is seeking a loan worth Rs 200 billion to develop and finance infrastructure projects across the region. The MMRDA is cash-strapped and plans to spend a significant amount of funds in this decade.
It has earmarked an expenditure of Rs 287.05 billion for multiple projects, including the metro corridors, Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, Versova-Vasai sea bridge and the underground road between the Eastern Freeway and the Marine drive.
