800 km of sewage network laid in Odisha

Around 800 km of sewage network has been laid out in Odisha and about 35 per cent of households have been provided with sewerage connections as of August 19, 2023. Upon the completion of work on key trunk lines, Water Corporation of Odisha (WATCO) will provide individual sewage connections. According to WATCO, of the 1,17,000 households in private and non-slum areas in Odisha, sewage connection has been provided to only 40,000 households as of August 2023.
