61 mld water supply projects in Bhopal sanctioned under AMRUT 2.0

Water supply projects of a capacity of 61 mld, worth Rs 4.48 billion have been sanctioned in Bhopal under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0. These projects are a part of the largest initiative for extending water supply network in the city since the connection of Narmada river water to Bhopal. It would be sufficient to cater to nearly a million residents. According to the Bhopal Municipal Corporation, the expansion of the water capacity under these projects is projected to cater to the water requirement of the city until 2040.
