New flight services are expected to start from the Hindon Airport soon. Reportedly, flight services are set to commence to Bathinda and Ludhiana in Punjab from the Hindon airport. Congestion at the Indira Gandhi International Airport would likely be eased, with the proposed flights that can accommodate 12 and 20 passengers for Bathinda and Ludhiana respectively. It would also act as a more convenient and faster route. The airport was inaugurated on October 11, 2019. The terminal is designed in order to accommodate 300 passengers simultaneously.
