A new cargo terminal was inaugurated at Andal Airport in Durgapur, West Bengal on July 31, 2023. The cargo terminal has been constructed by the Bengal Aerotropolis Projects Limited for the commencement of cargo operations. There are six daily flights that will connect the airport to Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru. These would be operated by IndiGo and SpiceJet with a passenger load of around 90 per cent on the routes.
