Powergrid Khavda II-C Transmission Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited announced that it got approval from the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) to evacuate power from 4.5 GW of renewable energy projects at Gujarat’s Khavda pooling station (phase-II, part C). According to the notification, the project will be set up on the basis of build, own, operate model. The commercial operation date of the project is scheduled to be in March, 2025. The transmission agreement will stay in effect for 25 years from its signing date.
