Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has granted authorisation to GAIL (India) Limited for the development of Gurdaspur- Jammu natural gas pipeline. The bids for the same were invited by PNGRB in January 2023. The project involves laying, building, operating and expanding a 12”, 160 km long natural gas pipeline from Gurdaspur (Punjab) to Jammu through Pathankot, Kathua and Samba having system capacity of 3.10 million standard cubic meters per day (mscmd) with extra capacity of 0.78 mscmd.
