Haryana government lays foundation stone of SWD in Gurgaon

The Government of Haryana laid the foundation stone for a stormwater drainage (SWD) in Gurugram. The project involves the construction of a 5.2 km long storm water drain from Vatika Chowk, Sohna road up to NH-48 along the Southern Peripheral Road being implemented by the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority at an estimated cost of Rs 1.04 billion. The work is likely to be completed by October 2024. Besides, the foundation stone was also laid for the construction of a 33/11 KV Substation at the 100 million litres per day (mld) Behrampur sewage treatment plant (STP) and the construction of a 66 KV substation at the 90 mld Basai WTP to improve water supply services from the plants.
