Gadag II-A, a subsidiary of Renew Transmission Ventures, announced that it got approval from the Ministry of Power (MoP) to develop overhead transmission lines for solar projects totalling 1,500 MW in Gadag, Karnataka. The approval has been given for a period of 25 years for setting overhead lines. The company’s plan of 1,500 MW for a solar energy zone in Gadag, Part A-Phase II will be used to develop the transmission lines. Furthermore, 400 kV DC transmission line between two pooling stations (Gadag and Koppal) has been covered under the programme.
