Punjab government proposed water supply and sewerage projects

The Government of Punjab has proposed water supply and sewerage projects in different regions of Punjab. These projects include canal base water supply projects for Ahmedgarh, Amargarh and Malerkotla which will be launched to meet the requirement of 2.99 cusecs in Ahmedgarh, 0.79 cusecs of water in Amargarh. Purification plants will be established after the necessary formalities. In Malerkotla, a site proposal is being prepared. The project will be carried out under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0 at an estimated cost of Rs 1.17 billion. Additionally, an STP having a capacity of 22.5 mld has also been planned for Sonali area of Zirakpur, Mohali.
