The state highways department has earmarked the funds for road development, covering a total distance of 3,078.29 km. The Chief Minister Road Development Project (CMRDP) will focus on converting 163.71 km of two-lane roads to four-lane roads (costing Rs 14.68 billion) and 545.6 km of single-lane roads to two-lane roads (costing Rs 8 billion). Additionally, Rs 13.02 billion is allocated for widening 824.28 km of rural roads. The comprehensive program also includes digitising trees and assets along state highways (costing Rs 2.02 billion) for the year 2023-24.
