SJVN signs PPAs for 300 MW renewable energy projects

SJVN Limited’s subsidiary, SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), has signed power purchase agreements (PPAs) for 300 MW renewable energy projects. The PPA has been signed with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for 200 MW solar power project at Mumbai; and with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for 100 MW wind power capacity at Delhi. SGEL has bagged the Maharashtra project at a tariff of Rs 2.90 per unit through competitive bidding process in an e-reverse auction organised by MSEDCL. The project is expected to be commissioned in December 2024, and is expected to generate 10,481 MUs over a period of 25 years. Meanwhile, the Delhi project has been won at Rs 2.90 per unit on build own and operate basis through e-reverse auction. The project is expected to be commissioned in March 2025, and will generate 7,231.75 MUs over a period of 25 years. The development cost of 200 MW solar project in Maharashtra is Rs 12 billion, and of 100 MW wind power project in Delhi is Rs 7.50 billion.
