The construction work on the new terminal building of Belagavi Airport in Karnataka is expected to commence by 2024. It was planned to be completed in a time period of 3 years. Meanwhile, additional land of 56 acres is required for this. The project involves the development of a new terminal building at the airport at an estimated investment of Rs 2.29 billion. The terminal building will cover an area of 20,000 sq m, comprising of 16,400 sq m for the new terminal building and 3,600 sq m for the conversion of the existing terminal into the arrivals section.
