ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions (India) Private Limited has won contract worth USD100 million for engineering, procurement and construction of grassroot polybutadiene rubber (PBR) plant on lump sum turnkey basis at IOCL’s Panipat refinery and petrochemical complex. The scope of work includes residual process engineering, detail engineering, project management, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the PBR plant. Polybutadiene rubber is manufactured from the polymerisation of butadiene and has applications in manufacturing tyres and additives. The project involves construction of 60 kilo tonnes per annum PBR unit at Panipat refinery and petrochemical complex in the state of Haryana.
