About 29 per cent of work has been completed on the Byculla Cable Stayed Bridge Project and is expected to be finished by July 31, 2024.
The project involves construction of 0.916 km four lane cable stayed bridge connecting east and west sides of Byculla station at an estimated cost of Rs 2,870 million in Maharashtra. It is being implemented by the Maharashtra Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (MRIDC) and Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM).
Besides, MRIDC plans to construct 10 railway-over-bridges (ROBs) and a rail-under-bridge (RUB) across the Mumbai region.
