The Government of Telangana inaugurated the sewage treatment plant (STP) at Kokapet in Hyderabad, Telangana on July 1, 2023. The scope of work included construction of a 15 mld capacity STP based on advanced sequential batch reactor technology. The plant will treat sewage from Vattinagulapally, Taj Nagar, Journalists Colony (Gachibowli), Gowlidoddy and parts of the Financial District at an estimated cost of Rs 661.6 million.
