In a notable development, ONGC has commenced oil evacuation from Panna oilfield by linking it in the Arabian sea to shore through a sub-sea pipeline. It includes laying two segments of 37.5 km submarine pipeline and installation of three main oil line pumps and three booster pumps. The Panna Mukta oilfield which is a part of ONGC’s Bassein & Satellite asset of western offshore produces 9,600 barrels per day (bpd) oil.
