Reportedly, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has won a long- term contract from ONGC Petro Additions Limited (OPaL) for supply of natural gas to OPaL’s petrochemical complex at Dahej in Gujarat. The bids for the same were invited by OPaL. OPaL requires natural gas for operating its captive power plant to support its power and steam requirements. Under the contract, HPCL will supply 13.53 trillion British thermal unit natural gas to OPaL from October 23, 2023 to May 26, 2024.
