The construction work on the Ayodhya International Airport project phase I is likely to be completed by August 2023. The airport will have a yearly passenger handling capacity of 0.6 million passengers per annum (mppa). This phase of the project involves the extension of the runway, runway-end safety area, taxiway, apron, isolation bay, new terminal building and miscellaneous works at Ayodhya airport in Uttar Pradesh.
